Monteith to be honoured at Emmy Awards

TORONTO — The late Canadian actor Cory Monteith will receive a special tribute Sunday night on the Primetime Emmy Awards.

Monteith’s Glee co-star Jane Lynch will honour the Alberta-born actor who was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room on July 13.

The 31-year-old died of a toxic combination of heroin and alcohol.

Canadian actor Michael J. Fox will remember Family Ties creator Gary David Goldberg, who lost his battle with brain cancer on June 23 only three days shy of his 69th birthday.

Actor James Gandolfini, who died of a heart attack in Italy on June 19, will be memorialized by his Sopranos wife Edie Falco and All in the Family star Jean Stapleton will be honoured by former co-star Rob Reiner.
