The Producers Network, in collaboration with the Göteborg Film Fund and Ukranian Institute, will Spotlight five emerging Ukrainian producers : Karina Kostyna (TABOR), Andrii Kotliar (Babylon’13), Olha Matat (EVOS Film), Dmytro Sukhanov (Toy Cinema) and Zlata Yefimenko (EF Pictures).

Cannes Docs will have two Ukrainian docs in the making included to its selection of Spotlighted Projects, in partnership with the Ukrainian Institute: Dad’s Lullaby, by Lesia Diak, and Silent Flood, by Dmytro Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk. Additionally, for the first time, Docudays UA is one of Cannes Docs’ 2023 Festival Partners, alongside a prestigious list of other international doc film fests.

Pitching Session: Ukraine in Focus
📆 Monday 22 May | 16:00-17:15 (Pavillon Les Cinémas du Monde)
In partnership with the European Solidarity Fund for Ukrainian Films, CNC, EFAD Association, Göteborg Film Fund, Institut Français, LIM | Less is More, Movies that Matter, Tatino Films and Ukrainian Institute, the Marché du Film will host a pitching session to present ten Ukrainian feature film projects in development to potential co-producers, and financiers. The projects have been selected in collaboration with Göteborg Film Fund, LIM | Less is More and Pop Up Film Residency. One of the projects selected will be awarded a prize given by the Pop Up Film Residency.

Margje de Koning | Artistic Director (Movies that Matter)
After directing documentaries for 12 years, Margje apart from teaching at the University of Amsterdam, was commissioning editor over 17 years. Also she became head of TV, Radio and NM of IKON (public Broadcaster), before become artistic director of Movies that Matter, she was head of Documentary at EO (Dutch Public Broadcast).
